Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment (SME), and SME's Certified invite fans to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Cypress Hill, the self-titled studio debut album that shaped the course of hip-hop history while putting Cypress Hill (vocalists B-Real and Sen Dog, producer/turntable master DJ Muggs) and their game-changing sound on the map for future generations to follow. SME/Legacy/Certified is releasing an expanded 30th anniversary digital edition of Cypress Hill (featuring three bonus tracks) today, Friday, August 13. Additional tracks on the expanded digital edition of Cypress Hill (30th Anniversary) include "The Phuncky Feel One" (Extended Version), "Stoned Is The Way Of The Walk" (Reprise), and "Puerco (Pigs)" (Spanish Edit). In addition to the expanded edition of Cypress Hill (30th Anniversary), two newly-created 30th anniversary remixes of songs from the album will be available as stand-alone singles: "How I Could Just Kill A Man (The Alchemist x Beat Butcha Remix)" is being released today, Friday, August 13 with a new remix of "Hand On The Pump" by DJ Muggs coming soon. ormado en South Gate (Los Ángeles) en 1988 por B-Real, Sen Dog y DJ Muggs, Cypress Hill irrumpió en la industria en 1991 con un debut homónimo que ya incluyó éxitos como ‘How I Could Just Kill a Man’. Pero fue su segundo disco, Black Sunday (1993), el que hizo historia, llevando a la banda al número uno del Billboard 200 y a conseguir el triple platino en Estados Unidos; todo un hito al tratarse del primer grupo de hip-hop latino en alcanzar un éxito como este. La entrada de su cuarto miembro, Bobo, añadió una pasión y una precisión al uso de la percusión que hacía el grupo en unas canciones que han dejado una huella imborrable en la historia del género y abrieron el camino a los raperos para utilizar el Español en sus rimas. Más de 30 años después de su debut, de actuar por todo el mundo, de vender más de nueve millones de discos, de obtener tres nominaciones a los premios Grammy y tras conseguir una estrella en el Paseo de la Fama de Hollywood, Cypress Hill sabían que aún tenían mucho que ofrecer y en 2022 publicaron su décimo álbum, Back in Black, el regreso a sus raíces de una banda en plena forma que une a varias generaciones.
